An assortment of vases made from old fence rails and fence posts.  Some are American chestnut and some are black locust.  Both woods resist rot. That’s why they are still available for me to make them into dry vases.  The American chestnut wood is about 100 years old, since the blight fungus that killed almost all American chestnut trees came through this area about 100 years ago.  Heights range from about 6 to about 16 inches.
